The Note-Up program is promoted as an event-reminder app and can be found on its site, Note-Up.com and in freeware bundles. You may want to know that the Note-Up app does not have a publicly known publisher and may use tracking cookies to help third-party advertisers load marketing content in your browser. Security analysts deem the Note-Up app as adware that may add an option to your right-click menu that allows you to set reminders, but it may load numerous ads in your browser. The infrastructure that supports the Note-Up adware is not configured to respond to 'Do-Not-Track' requests from Web browsers and may place web beacons and session cookies on your PC. Also, Note-Up may use DOM storage data to show customized ads. The Note-Up adware may ask for your email upon activation to send you reminders and promotional materials that may contain links to insecure online services. Moreover, the Note-Up adware may perform automatic updates and install software from third parties like Advanced PC Care and DropIntoDeals without your consent. Security analysts add that the Note-Up adware may be accompanied by the ConvertAd adware and users may experience pop-up windows, banners that blink in bright colors, floating ads and coupons. Moreover, the IP address of the official site of the Note-Up app is related to cyber threats like Sality and Zusy and users are not advised to click on the advertisements that it displays. The Note-Up adware may install its files in the Program Files folder and store your unique advertising profile in the hidden AppData folder. Security analysts recommend users to remove the Note-Up adware with the help of a reliable anti-spyware instrument.
