The My Tropical Beach New Tab software is packed as a browser add-on and extension for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. At the time of writing, there is no version for Internet Explorer. The My Tropical Beach New Tab software is associated with the Mystart.com domain that offers a search service managed by Visicom Media Inc. The My Tropical Beach New Tab extension works as a Web-app that may take control of your new tab page to provide expanded functionality as opposed to the default layout provided with Firefox and Chrome. The My Tropical Beach New Tab is marketed to help users discover beautiful sunny destinations for their vacation with every opened new tab. You can find the official page for My Tropical Beach New Tab at Mystart.com/mysunscape/, which for some reason features the name 'MySunscape,' and the site is listed on the official Chrome Webstore page at Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/my-tropical-beach-new-tab/bpdnomamldndfpklbahbbflkgdmfakbo. Web surfers may be promised that:

'With every new tab, travel to a different
beautiful sunny destination
Discover new sunny destinations and
be inspired for your next vacation.'

However, the My Tropical Beach New Tab/MySunscape extension is perceived as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is developed with the support of advertisers. Before you click the 'Install' button and see what pictures, weather forecast and audio background are provided on your new tab, it is recommended that you read the terms of use and privacy agreements on mystart.com/mysunscape/privacy.html and mystart.com/mysunscape/terms.html. The My Tropical Beach New Tab (MySunscape) add-on requires extensive privileges to provide users with images and weather forecast on their new tab. The requirements are listed on the Chrome Webstore page as:

  • Read and change your data on all mystart.com sites.
  • Read your browsing history.
  • Communicate with cooperating sites.
  • Read and change your bookmarks.
  • Manage your apps, extensions, and themes.
  • Communicate with cooperating native applications.

Computer users that grant the MySunscape the rights listed above should prepare for browser redirects, targeted advertisements, promotional videos and audio commercials on their new tab page. Additionally, the software may send statistics on your online activity to third parties over unencrypted channels. Actions like searching on Google and YouTube, pages you visit on social media and what content you download may be sent to advertisers, as long as your browser is running on your system. Also, the My Tropical Beach New Tab extension may disable third-party tools like uBlock Origin and Adblock Pro from interfering with the ads shown on your new tab page. PC users that do not welcome ads on their new tab and do not wish to share information on their online activity may want to remove the My Tropical Beach New Tab extension and tracking cookies with a trustworthy anti-spyware instrument.
