The MySocialColor toolbar by High Tech Marketing SL. is perceived by security researchers as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) with adware functionality. The MySocialColor toolbar may provide web surfers with a low-quality search engine and basic tools to share on social medias, but users may be subjected to a torrent of banners, ad boxes and in-text hyperlinks to sponsors. The MySocialColor toolbar is dispersed among users by using freeware installers as vessels that are used by adware as well. The MySocialColor toolbar is known to place its files in the AppData folder of Windows to make it harder for users to remove manually. Additionally, the MySocialColor app inserts a key in the Windows to ensure its operations every time you launch your web client. Many web surfers like their web browser interface to be as minimal as possible to view as much surface of websites as possible and the MySocialColor toolbar may not be welcomed. Moreover, the ads by MySocialColor may appear to be related to your searches on Google and recently visited websites because the MySocialColor toolbar can use session cookies to display targeted advertisement content. Computer users may want to think twice before deciding to keep the MySocialColor toolbar on their PC and keep in mind that they can delete it securely by using a reliable anti-spyware utility.
