The My Email Signin program from hxxp://www.myemailsignin[.]com is an ad-supported browser extension developed and published by Polarity Technologies Ltd. The My Email Signin extension is advertised to improve your new tab page and help you open your email inbox faster by revamping your new tab page. You can find the My Email Signin on hxxp://www.myemailsignin[.]com and Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/my-email-signin/aclebadgjklemddbgcjaoggkedebfgah. The My Email Signin extension is known to support versions for Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. However, the versions for IE and Firefox may change your new tab, start page, and primary search provider while the Chrome version includes a new tab page only. You should take into consideration that the My Email Signin extension is not deemed as a trusted app by leading email providers and you should not allow it to connect to your email accounts.
The My Email Signin app is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by Polarity Technologies Ltd., which is reported to set Search.hmyemailsignin.com as the default new tab, primary search engine and start page in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. Also, the app seems to be a clone of the Email Access Online and the Email Account Login Toolbar released by Polarity in the past. The company responsible for these extensions is known for its efforts to collect non-personally identifiable data like browsing history, search terms on Google; Bing; Yahoo and installed third-party extensions. The raw usage data collected by Polarity is shared with third parties like ad publishers and retailers for a profit. A closer look at Search.hmyemailsignin.com revealed that it is registered to the 107.22.168.47 IP address where we found the following clones:
