The MuzikTrak browser extension is developed by The Whiz, Ltd. as an upgraded version of the Muzik Fury adware and it may flood your browser with advertisements and hijack your search settings. The MuzikTrak adware may be found in the Chrome Web Store and inside freeware bundles that you should handle with the 'Custom' and 'Advanced' option preferably. Security researchers reveal that the MuzikTrak program is connected to applications developed by APN, LLC. and may encourage users to install badware like Games Junkies and Movie Junkies. As stated before, the MuzikTrak extension may change your search settings and direct you to the search aggregator at Search.mysearch.com that is not trusted and is linked to several browser hijackers. The MuzikTrak software has an official page that is located at Muziktrak.thewhizmarketing.com, but users may not visit this domain because it is blocked by most Web filters including Google Safe Browsing and Mozilla Phishing Protection.
The MuzikTrak browser extension is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) with adware capabilities that may take over the Internet browser to make sure you are provided with sponsored content. The MuzikTrak program may place links to free services like Tunein.com and Internet-radio.com on your new tab page. Also, the MuzikTrak extension may alter the behavior of your search bar and Omnibox to provide related search results from Search.mysearch.com and advertisements. The ads by MuzikTrak may be loaded in a new browser window as pop-ups and pop-unders. The MuzikTrak program may require access to your themes, third-party extensions and Web history to customize the commercial content that is shown on your screen. The ad-boxes by MuzikTrak may include links to compromised pages, and you risk being infected with HTML/DSPark.B. Security researchers recommend users to delete the binary associated with MuzikTrak and install a reputable anti-malware shield on their PC.
