Mokiray is adware that may display unwanted pop-up ads and banners or messages when PC users are using the well-known search provider websites by adding random pop-up advertisements, banners and messages in search results and various websites that may be commercial. The websites affiliated with Mokiray may be produced to possibly benefit from clicks on pop-up advertisements and increased website traffic. Mokiray may install itself as a browser extension in Google Chrome and as an add-on or plug-in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, or it may run as a process and a Browser Helper Object (BHO). Mokiray may repeatedly divert PC users to suspicious websites. Mokiray may also gather information about the PC user's browsing habits, search requests and visited websites. This data may be valuable for targeted advertising campaigns.
