'M.M.A.Δ' Ransomware

'M.M.A.' Ransomware, otherwise known as 'M.M.A.' Virus affects PC users in Cyprus. 'M.M.A.' Ransomware displays a fake legal pop-up notification created and delivered to compromised PCs by a 'Police' Ransomware Trojan. The 'Police' Ransomware Trojan blocks a victimized PC user from accessing the desktop and computer and asks him/her to pay a ransom via Ukash or Paysafecard to unlock the PC. The scary pop-up alert of 'M.M.A.' Ransomware declares that the computer has been blocked because the PC user has violated certain laws. The warning message of 'M.M.A.' Ransomware claims that the computer user has performed illegitimate e-crime activities by downloading and dispersing copyrighted content, such as videos, music or other files, downloading and dispersing pornographic files, and visiting damaging websites. The bogus pop-up warning message of 'M.M.A.' Ransomware is allegedly sent by the legitimate authorities of Cyprus, M.M.A. and Interpol, and uses the official name and logo of it to fool target computer users into believing it is an official warning message. The fraudulent pop-up notification of 'M.M.A.' Ransomware accuses attacked PC users of executing numerous illegal online activities and, therefore, asks them to pay a ransom of 100 Euro to evade prosecution and restore access to their PCs. Do not be frightened by the pop-up alert of 'M.M.A.' Ransomware and pay the supposed ransom because it is a hoax generated by attackers to swindle innocent computer users out of their money.
