MiniBar

MiniBar is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that causes a variety of problems on affected Web browsers. MiniBar is a low quality Web browser add-on that makes changes to the affected Web browser designed to expose computer users to advertising content and affiliate marketing strategies. PC security researchers have observed that MiniBar may lower the affected Web browser's security settings, changes its default homepage and search engine and may cause browser redirects and other problems. MiniBar may cause the appearance of pop-up advertisements and a variety of other symptoms. The MiniBar add-on may affect Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It is important to remove MiniBar completely from the affected Web browser with the help of a reliable anti-malware application in order to prevent these symptoms and ensure that the affected Web browser is not exposed to other potentially unsafe online content.
