Meteoroids is an adware-laced program developed by Acute Angle Solutions. Meteoroids allegedly provides access to a browser game named Asteroids. Computer users that are using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, are prone to have this Possibly Unwanted Program being installed on their machines when they download free programs that have Meteoroids bundled with their installation process. As any adware-laced program Meteoroids displays numerous unwanted and intrusive advertisements on the affected machine, in the form of in-text and interstitial advertisements, banners and more. The computer user's browsing experience will be recorded and the collected information shared with third parties. Automatic installation of PUPs may be avoided if the computer user denies the installation of additional programs offered by third-party software. If Meteoroids is already installed on your computer, you should uninstall Meteoroids with a malware removal program.
