Man in the Browser
Man in the Browser (MITB) is spyware that infects web browsers and monitors victims' browsing activities. MITB specifically looks out for when a victim accesses a banking website, then it surreptitiously intercepts and modifies the web page contents in order to steal a victims online banking details. MITB is able to modify transaction content or insert additional transactions onto a banking webpage. A MITB attack involves the manipulation of a browser in order to present both the user and the banking server with false information. This way neither the user nor the server will suspect or detect any malicious activity.
