Similarly to other PUPs (Possibly Unwanted Programs), the Malware Protection Live program claims to utilize a cloud-based anti-malware engine and provide free protection to users. However, security researchers recognize the Malware Protection Live program as a PUP that will not protect you from threats like Adept and Tolone. The only purpose of Malware Protection Live is to scare users with many security alerts and demand money for a monthly subscription fee that would guarantee your protection. Researchers have not found proof of the positive effects that Malware Protection Live claims to have on your PC. Moreover, Malware Protection Live might ask to access your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles to post on your behalf. The Malware Protection Live app may use tracking cookies and DOM storage data to facilitate the display of tailor-suited ads in your browser. Malware Protection Live may send promotional materials and newsletters to your email address that you registered with social media. You may be interested to know that the office of Malware Protection Live is registered at a Publix supermarket in Florida, USA. Computer users are not advised to place their cyber safety in the hands of fake security technicians that operate from a supermarket. Malware Protection Live is deployed incorporated with free program installers that you should handle with the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' option. Users that installed the Malware Protection Live app risk infection with Nginx, Brantall and CryptoWall that may result in financial fraud, extortion and hijacked social media profiles. Therefore, you may want to install a trusted anti-malware application that can purge Malware Protection Live and keep your PC safe.
