Kreberisec

By GoldSparrow in Adware

Kreberisec is promoted as a useful tool that displays discount coupons for popular Internet sites. In fact, however, it is an intrusive adware program that floods users who installed it with pop-up advertisements and various other unwanted advertising content. Typically, Kreberisec advertisements are in the form of underlined keywords on websites, pop-ups and banners. They appear all the time on the user's desktop, promoting adult websites, online games, fake software, etc., and have different texts under them, like 'Advertisements by Kreberisec,' 'Powered by Kreberisec,' 'Brought to you by Kreberisec' or 'Ads by Kreberisec.'

This adware also injects its advertisements in Google search result pages, trying to trick users into clicking on them. Further symptoms of Kreberisec include a sudden change of the browser’s homepage without the user's permission, Internet pages not displaying properly, links on websites redirecting to unexpected sites and pop-ups urging the user to install fake software updates. Inexperienced users often may install Kreberisec on their computers willingly, expecting to profit from offered discounts. However, in some cases, this adware comes bundled within other freeware and installs without the user’s notice. In both cases, Kreberisec should be removed from your PC immediately, as it is not safe and can affect your online security.
