unkSweeper is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may be encountered under the name Trash Cleaner sometimes. Regardless of the name used, JunkSweeper and Trash Cleaner serve the same purposes, and both applications are known to use deceptive marketing tricks to get on the computers of thousands of users. One of the propagation campaigns that JunkSweeper may use involves software bundling, a software-propagation method that may be used to spread PUPs or low-level threats like adware and browser hijackers. JunkSweeper is meant to be a PC optimization program that supposedly improves computer performance by removing junk files, optimizing the Registry, and performing other minor tasks that may result in a slight performance gain.
However, that's what JunkSweeper promises to do. However, its promises may be much different from JunkSweeper's real capabilities. This application may not be the best choice when it comes to PC optimization because JunkSweeper may ask users to pay for the full version of its software if they wish to finish the optimization tasks. Users who have JunkSweeper installed may be exposed to numerous reminders that they need to purchase the JunkSweeper's full version if they wish to optimize their computers. Furthermore, JunkSweeper may exaggerate its reports to make it seem as if the user's computer needs to be optimized urgently. If you have JunkSweeper on your computer, and you didn't download this application knowingly, then we advise you to remove JunkSweeper with the help of a trustworthy anti-malware application.
