JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC is a Trojan/ Java exploit that is a component of a malware attack using exploit kits, particularly Java and PDF exploits, for distributing file infectors onto corrupted PCs in the United States. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC drops and executes a file infector found as PE_EXPIRO.JX-O. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC proliferates as a component packageed with malware packages. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC may be hosted on an infected website, which carries an exploit kit and launched when a computer user accesses the said website. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC needs its main component to successfully accomplish its intended routine. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC connects to the specififc websites to drop and execute a malevolent file. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC uses Oracle Java Runtime Environment Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2013-1493) to drop possibly malevolent files. JAVA_EXPLOIT.ZC can also use CVE-2012-1723 for downloading the infector PE_EXPIRO.JX-O.
