Internet Police Department Ransomware

By ZulaZuza in Ransomware

Internet Police Department Ransomware, otherwise known as Internet Police Department Virus, is a malware infection recognized as ransomware. Internet Police Department Ransomware shows a fake pop-up warning message on a screen of a contaminated computer, which is generated and delivered to attacked PCs by the Urausy Trojan. The Trojan blocks the victimized PC user from accessing the desktop and computer system and asks to pay a so-called fine via Ukash or Paysafecard to restore access to the computer. The deceitful pop-up alert of Internet Police Department Ransomware declares that the computer has been locked because the PC user has breached certain laws. The intimidating notification of Internet Police Department Ransomware states that the PC user has been performing numerous illicit online actions, such as downloading and distributing copyrighted content, such as videos, music or software, downloading and spreading pornographic files, and visiting illegal websites. The falsified pop-up warning message of Internet Police Department Ransomware pretends to come from the Internet Police Department, and uses the official name and logo in an effort to dupe target computer users into thinking it is a legitimate alert. It is recommended not to be scared by the pop-up warning message of Internet Police Department Ransomware because it is a hoax designed by cybercriminals to steal money from trusting computer users.
