The In Motion Search browser plug-in may appeal to users that like to ride a bike on the mountain and the nearby parks to stay fit. The In Motion Search browser plug-in may claim to connect bike riders with like-minded people, and help users set up meetings and vacations. As a bonus, users that install the In Motion Search plug-in are provided with a customized search engine at Inmotionsearch.com that is programmed to generate results from social media services, sports equipment sites and mountain bike clubs. The In Motion Search plug-in works similarly to the Crunch Travel and WorldSport New Tab and may show a notification to the users that they need to allow In Motion Search to detect their exact geographical location. Many users may not be comfortable with disclosing that type of information to strangers that use the same app. Moreover, the In Motion Search plug-in may suggest users link their profile on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and set up a social circle with other bike riders.
Security researchers alert that the In Motion Search plug-in is adware and users need to uninstall it to secure their Web browser. The In Motion Search adware may use contact details and usage statistics like how much time you spend online, bookmarks, and software configuration to generate tailor-suited ads. The developers of the In Motion Search adware are not trusted service providers, and it is not a good idea to give In Motion Search access to your social media accounts. The In Motion Search adware may load surveys when you open your browser, and promise you rewards in exchange for your time to answer a few questions. You should not be fooled, the handlers of the In Motion Search adware do not offer rewards, and you may be shown a message saying 'We don’t have more rewards for you today' whenever you complete a survey by In Motion Search. Computer users that do not wish to allow the In Motion Search adware to invade their online social circles and push ads need to use a renowned anti-malware utility to clean their PCs.
