Computer users that like to try their luck once in a while at a lottery may be interested in visiting the Ilotto.com site. The Ilotto.com site is operated by Chestbox Ltd. and Yippex Limited, Corporation. iLotto allows users to submit a composition of numbers to a Daily Lucky Draw. Web surfers that register at Ilotto.com have the chance to win premium mobile devices, TVs, and a million dollars. Unfortunately, the Ilotto.com site is associated with an adware application that is promoted as a browser plug-in from Chestbox Ltd., which allows users to benefit from premium features at Ilotto.com. The iLotto adware is offered to users that want to automate their participation in the Daily Lucky Draw and receive updates via email and phone. The iLotto adware may be deployed to users that are not subscribed to the lottery at Ilotto.com by means of free software packages.
The iLotto adware may use ActionScript and JavaScript to show pop-up windows in the browser of infected users to urge them to register at Ilotto.com. Also, the iLotto adware may load ads from Mediaplace.org and Exclusive-rewards.kaqa.info, which are flagged as unreliable domains. You should note that participants in the iLotto lottery are allowed to have only one account and provide accurate information on their location, income, marital status and contact details. The iLotto adware may prevent your browser from loading unless you fill out an application to register at Ilotto.com. Security analysts note that he iLotto adware may invite users to provide their email address, phone number, P.O. Box and, at least, two names of family members. It is understandable that the practices employed by Chestbox Ltd. and Yippex Limited, Corporation may raise concerns about privacy. Moreover, the iLotto adware may require users to input their credit card data and transfer data to its command servers via insecure channels. Security analysts do not advise users to participate in the lottery at Ilotto.com and provide information to unknown companies.
