The Hexa Desk software may be promoted to PC users as a shopping assistant that can give them access to products with the lowest prices on the Internet. Unfortunately, cybersecurity experts alert that the Hexa Desk program is an adware. The Hexa Desk adware is known to arrive on computers via free software bundles and claim to be published by companies under the names of 'Layong Technology Limited' and 'Stox Technology Limited.' Both of the company names mentioned before are linked to several adware strains we have covered in the past. The Hexa Desk adware is designed to inject an HTML code into non-affiliated pages and push targeted commercials to users. You should note that the Web page injected by Hexa Desk might include insecure resources and links to phishing portals. It is not impossible for the Hexa Desk adware to redirect Web surfers to phishing domains that are copies of legitimate banking portals.
Additionally, the Hexa Desk adware might recommend users download trialware and untrusted system optimizers, which can prove to be detrimental to your system performance. Lab tests have shown that the Hexa Desk adware may be registered in the Windows Task Manager as 'HexaDesK.exe' and lack a valid description. The Hexa Desk may edit the list of startup programs on Windows and add a custom entry so that it is loaded with the OS. The data exchanged by Hexa Desk with remote servers may include information such as your browsing history, recent downloads and a list of installed programs. AV engines recognize the files and Registry keys utilized by the Hexa Desk adware as:
