HDSportsSearchs

HDSportsSearchs is an application dedicated to the promotion of a fake search engine. Once installed, HDSportsSearchs takes over the user's browser and modifies the homepage, new page tab, and the default search engine to open feed.hdsportssearchs.com. This is a fake search engine as it is incapable of producing search results on its own. Instead, every search query carried out from the compromised browser will be redirected through search.yahoo.com.

Most Possibly Unwanted Programs (PUPs) that act as browser hijackers prevent users from changing the browser settings to the way they were before, with the only solution being the removal of the application itself. This, however, is far from the only reason to uninstall applications such as HDSportsSearchs. For example, nearly all of them have a certain degree of data tracking. All of the visited websites, the entire browsing history, searchers, and clicked URLs might be logged. The device's IP address and geolocation could be tracked as well. Not to mention, the users may be presented with various pop-up advertisements or advertisements injected into the list of search results. Clicking on any of them could lead to suspicious third-party sites that could have compromised security.
