HDD Restore

HDD Restore is a fake system optimization tool known to be distributed by Trojans or drive-by downloads. HDD Restore is secretly installed and executed on a system before it creates chaos. Fake error alerts, pop-ups and frequent redirection to websites promoting HDD Restore are the most visible symptoms of this rogue on a system. HDD Restore will also create a start-up registry entry, disable certain security software and block a victim's access to applications such as Task Manager and Registry Editor. HDD Restore uses these scare tactics to coerce victims into paying for its supposed full version. Do not trust HDD Restore or HDDRestore and don't believe any of the security alerts it displays; instead have it removed from your PC upon detection.
