The advertisements powered by GreatDealz and presented on your screen may be caused by adware that runs on your system. The GreatDealz adware is known to be promoted as a shopping helper at Great-dealz.de, which is a site that is suited to German-speaking users but is managed by a Thailand-based company named Saphire Max Media Co Ltd. The company is related to the Ultimate Shopping Search browser hijacker and another shopping helper named LottaDelas that can be found at Bottadeals.de. Both sites mentioned before are nearly identical and include the same EULA (End User License Agreement) text, except for the name of the app that is managed by Saphire Max Media Co Ltd.

The GreatDealz adware is presented to users as a helpful shopping add-on that is available for Web surfers that run the Mozilla Firefox Internet client. The GreatDealz adware is seen in the company of riskware such as Power App and Advizz. The GreatDealz does not add an icon to the toolbar of Firefox and users may not realize it is running on their computers if the adware was installed through a software bundle. The GreatDealz add-on linked to Great-dealz.de may read information like your bookmarks collection, Internet history, browser version, software configuration, and IP address to create a unique advertising profile. The details related to your online routine may be shared with third parties, and you may be shown targeted advertisements from untrusted marketers. It is possible that the GreatDealz adware may display an overlay on safe pages and load content from insecure pages.

Computer security experts alert that the GreatDealz adware works like the Monarch Find adware and may scan the content you browse to embed links to phishing pages. Users that are presented with the ads by GreatDealz should ignore them and avoid the download of software that is promoted via pop-ups generated by GreatDealz. PC users that wish to remove the GreatDealz adware may need the help of a trusted anti-malware scanner that can erase all traces of the program without damaging any system components.
