Gooternet is an adware threat that may declare to give computer users the cheapest deals online while they are visiting shopping related websites. Gooternet may embed itself into the computer system without the PC user's consent. When Gooternet enters the PC, it may modify system settings and drop related components on all the Web browsers installed on the computer system. When the PC user starts using Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or other major Web browsers, Gooternet may start displaying non-stop pop-up ads and messages. Gooternet may also lead to annoying diversions to suspicious websites that were made to possibly benefit from clicks on advertisements and increased traffic of the questionable website. Upon installation on the PC, Gooternet may add an unwanted plug-in, browser extension or add-on on all the Web browser and also change the default homepage and search engine, or a new tab page with an unknown website.
