Adware distributors seem to use App[dot]initialsky[dot]cool to make Google Chrome users download and install the GImage Downloader extension. The GImage Downloader changes the homepage and default search engine settings of the infected Web browser, being a forced installation of the Chrome extension, but it does not change the new tab function. What GImage Downloader does is ask for permission to read and change all your data on the websites you visit so that it might be able to show targeted advertisements. The GImage Downloader may collect browsing information to send off to third parties for targeted ad purposes.

Computer users are advised to avoid the app[dot]initialsky[dot]cool pop-ups. The GImage Downloader also may be found in the Chrome Store for download. When the advertisements connected to the website in question appear, it is a good idea to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible. Although the numerous advertisements displayed by the GImage Downloader may be caused by adware, the browser redirection may be an annoyance at best and lead to worse threats so that addressing this issue should be a priority.
