The GifaPalooza Toolbar is an ad-supported product by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. that is identified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The GifaPalooza Toolbar is promoted to PC users via free software packages and browser extension platforms that offer resources for Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and various Chromium-based browsers. The GifaPalooza Toolbar supports versions for IE, Chrome and Firefox. The app is aimed at Web surfers who like to explore and share content from Giphy.com. The GifaPalooza Toolbar is designed to load random GIFs from Giphy.com and change the layout of your default new tab page. However, the versions that fit IE and Firefox do a little more than that and change your start page as well. You should note that the GifaPalooza Toolbar does not have a page on the Addons.mozilla.org platform, but it can be found on the Chrome Web Store at Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gifapalooza/klknlgpmpobhjglggmdfimnpejpbdacn. The app is observed to require the following privileges in Mozilla Firefox:
- Access your data for all websites.
- Exchange messages with programs other than Firefox.
- Access browser tabs.
- Access browser activity during navigation.
- Monitor extension usage and manage themes.
The following rights are requested by the GifaPalooza Toolbar on Google Chrome:

The Hp.myway.com/GifaPalooza/ttab02/ Web portal is a customized version of Myway.com, and all search operations are redirected to Int.search.myway.com. You should read the Terms of Use and Privacy Agreement enforced by Mindspark and published on Eula.mindspark.com/privacypolicy/ and Eula.mindspark.com/tos/. Some users may be disturbed by the fact that the GifaPalooza Toolbar is used by Mindspark to collect information about what browser extensions, themes, and apps are installed, as well as what you do online.
