You should note that GetFreeGifs Toolbar is designed to make modifications to your new tab page. Web surfers will notice that the GetFreeGifs Toolbar changes the new tab page in Chrome to Hp.myway.com/getfreegifs/ttab02chr/index.html and the extension requires the following permissions:

On the other hand, users of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox would need to allow the GetFreeGifs Toolbar change their start page and new tab page to Hp.myway.com/getfreegifs/ttab02chr/index.html. The new changes in Firefox from September 2017 allowed users to define the access of add-ons, which brought to attention that GetFreeGifs from Mindspark requires the following privileges on Firefox:
- Access your data for all websites.
- Exchange messages with programs other than Firefox.
- Access browser tabs.
- Access browser activity during navigation.
You might want to know that the GetFreeGifs Toolbar by MyWay is considered to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by cybersecurity vendors. Many desktop applications by Mindspark are famous for requiring a list of privileges that are not necessary for the program to work correctly but allow marketers and advertisers to deploy targeted commercial materials on your new tab page. It is a smart idea that you read the EULA and the Privacy Agreements published on Eula.mindspark.com/eula/ and Eula.mindspark.com/privacypolicy/ before you add the GetFreeGifs Toolbar to your Internet client and start wondering why there are personalized ads on your new tab page.
