Gerbillio is a PUP (potentially unwanted program)/adware that may suggest computer users to use its application services by striving to seduce PC users with the slogan 'Search smarter with Gerbillio'. At first sight, Gerbillio may appear as a useful program but, in fact, it may be an irritating and unwanted program. Upon installation, Gerbillio may create and deliver non-stop pop-up ads and commercial notifications on a computer encompassing the 'Start Now!' button. If the computer user clicks the button, he may unknowingly permit to download and install other computer threats on the PC. Gerbillio may unwillingly divert PC users to associated websites that were produced probably for commercial aims. Gerbillio might be produced with the goal to generate advertising income from increased Internet traffic and clicks on advertisements. Gerbillio may be distributed and enter the computer as an extra tool bundled with freeware that PC users download and install from questionable download websites. Gerbillio may embed an unwanted browser extension, plug-in or add-on in Web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and other well-known Web browsers.
