Generic_r.EIC is a detection used by security applications to notify computer users infected with a trojan. The Generic_r.EIC can modify programs on your PC, steal files and corrupt documents, image and video files. The operators of Generic_r.EIC may instruct it to download other malware and use keyloggers and viruses that may inflict further damages. The Generic_r.EIC trojan is deployed in spam email campaigns and can function on 32 bit and 6 bit architectures. Generic_r.EIC uses DLL libraries as its body, and it can place its files in the temp folder of Windows to evade detection. Malware researchers note that Generic_r.EIC shares some similarities with the Symmi trojan and may grant attackers remote access to your PC. Computer users should not download attachments from spam emails because spam is one of the primary deployment methods utilized by cybercriminals. The Generic_r.EIC trojan can be safely removed from your computer by using a trusted anti-malware utility.
