Game Wham is an advertisements-generating adware that may be downloaded and installed on a computer bundled with third-party free software, and inserted onto Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Internet Explorer as an add-on, plug-in or extension with or without a computer user's user acknowledgment. Game Wham also may spread via corrupted spam emails, social networking websites, and insecure software downloads. It claims to be a website where game lovers can play or download games. However, the main function of Game Wham is to display advertisements or make redirections to its sponsored websites in order to increase advertisement clicks and traffic. When Game Wham is installed on the PC, the unwanted tool and browser attachment may start modifying the existing Web browser settings and covering the default start page and default search provider or a new tab page with sponsored advertisements. Game Wham may gather and store data about the PC user's Web surfing routine and use this data to suggest services or show disturbing pop-up advertisements. Computer users affected by Game Wham may start seeing numerous pop-up advertisements and links that, if clicked, may trigger the installation of additional threats or lead to suspicious Web pages. The numerous advertisements displayed by Game Wham may cause your computer to start presenting an abnormal behavior such as slowing down, being irresponsive or even crashing. Game Wham should be removed with an up-to-date malware removal tool.
