The FindYourMaps Toolbar is one of the numerous questionable applications developed by the notorious Mindspark. Just like the majority of similar toolbars, the FindYourMaps is also a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The negative aspects of this dubious software begin with its distribution methods. Not all of the clients may download the FindYourMaps Toolbar from its official site willingly, which is Findyourmaps.com. More commonly, this suspicious Web extension may arrive as a recommended additional component of third-party freeware. The issue with this method is that the checkboxes of the bonus elements may be marked in advance. If you perform the setup process through the 'Quick' guide, you may not be able to deselect them manually, which means that the presence of the FindYourMaps Toolbar may be unwanted.
Once you allow its installation, willingly or not, the toolbar may appear in all of your browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The FindYourMaps Toolbar contains buttons to some sponsored sites, which may indeed provide you with the promised driving directions and maps. The main reason many users don't appreciate the FindYourMaps Toolbar is that it also may attach advertising materials to the majority of Web pages. The ads may come in vast amounts and different shapes – you may observe some annoying pop-ups, some eye-catching banners or interstitial ads that may cover the whole screen. Due to the multimedia elements, the presence of the PUP may worsen the normal performance of the Web clients. If FindYourMaps doesn't help you, you should use credible security software to delete it.
