Ficepationals.info

Ficepationals.info is the name of a domain and the website associated with it that serves up unwanted pop-ups that can infect your browser. Ficepationals.info will display a notification box on its pages, prompting the user to click "Allow" to continue the supposed content. This prompt is just a bait for the visitor to click and allow pop-up notifications from the website, which will annoy the victim for a long time. Allowing the notifications will, of course, not display any real Web page content and will simply infect the browser with the unwanted pop-ups from ficepationals.info.

Similar fake messages sometimes prompt the user to allow notifications to prove they are not robots, which is never the normal mode of operation of anti-robot checks. Some pages displayed by the ficepationals.info domain also will have a fake "Click here to prove you are not a robot" message on a layer behind the pop-up confirmation boxes.

In case you use the Chrome browser and are seeing unwanted pop-ups originating from ficepationals.info, click the Chrome menu button in the upper right corner of the window, next click on Settings, then select on Privacy and Security and then click on Site Settings.
