FakeWG.A
FakeWG.A is an information stealing Trojan that monitors a user's browsing activities for when a banking website is accessed. Once a user accesses an online banking site a logging procedure will take place. FakeWG.A will surreptitiously gather the victim's confidential information such as online banking details, passwords and usernames. Once this information is recorded, FakeWG.A will connect with a remote SMTP server and send an e-mail to the creator of the Trojan. FakeWG.A puts victims at risk of identity theft therefore it must be immediately removed from a system if detected.
