FakeAlert-JM is detection for a Trojan that shows confusing false warnings to convince the user to purchase a rouge security program to seemingly fix malware issues. FakeAlert-JM trojan may hide its malicious behavior, and victims most probably install it by thinking it is a legitimate software program. The new variant of Fakealert-JM trojan is observed in the wild which comes as a result of Google search about Hollywood actress 'Brittany Murphy's Death'. When executed, FakeAlert-JM installs Protectpcs rogue antispyware program on the victim's PC. The rogue application scans the vitim's PC and shows a missleading message.
