Computer users should be very cautious when downloading updates from third parties. A company named Hoolapp created a program called Extended Update which name may suggest that when installed on a computer, it can keep all the applications up-to-date. Regretfully, it is not what computer users expected. If not installed by the computer user, Extended Update may enter the computer bundled with free software downloaded from the Internet. Extended Update displays numerous advertisements after adding a toolbar to the computer user's Web browser. Extended Update replaces the user's search engine with the Rocket Search which is an adware program and a Possibly Unwanted Program. Extended Update should be deleted from the affected computer with an updated malware removal tool.
