Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.AFE is a Trojan that circulates to victimized computer systems via a PDF file, which includes a malevolent JavaScript exploiting vulnerabilities in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, discussed in CVE-2010-0188. These vulnerabilities permit Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.AFE to drop and execute arbitrary files. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader earlier than 8.2.1 and Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader earlier than 9.3.1 are vulnerable to Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.AFE. Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.AFE spreads via a hacked website and corrupts the targeted PC when the web user is visiting the compromised website. Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.AFE may also be distributed via the 'Blackhole exploit pack'. The PDF file includes a malicious JavaScript that exploits a vulnerability (CVE-2010-0188).
