Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.ADE is a Trojan that spreads as a malicious .PDF file that exploits a vulnerability in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. The vulnerabilities, discussed in CVE-2010-0188, enable Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.ADE to drop and execute potentially malevolent arbitrary files. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader earlier than 8.2.1 and Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader earlier than 9.3.1 are vulnerable to the particular exploit. Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.ADE is delivered via an unsolicited spam email including a malicious attachment, or downloaded from an attacked website. If a PC users opens an infected email attachment or visits a hacked website using a vulnerable version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, the malicious file, found as Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.ADE, may run an arbitrary code.
