The ads that are optimized by Eridanus and may be displayed in your Web browser are not native to the websites you visit. Adware may display the ads created by Eridanus on your computer since it is programmed to generate affiliate marketing revenue by piling up ads. The ads by Eridanus may feature links to harmful domains and initiate downloads of badware like WeCare and Registry Dr. while users are presented with pornographic materials in the meantime. The Eridanus adware may be dispersed among PC users by freeware packages, and users should explore the 'Advanced' and 'Custom' option to avoid installing it. The Eridanus adware is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems and may affect Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Security experts note that the Eridanus adware does not have a valid digital signature and may connect to the Internet over insecure channels. The Eridanus adware may slow down you computer and crash your Internet browser occasionally. The Eridanus adware may use JavaScript to alter the way Web pages are rendered and inject additional advertising content on banners, pop-up and pop-under windows. Moreover, the Eridanus adware may use tracking cookies and DOM storage data to build an advertising profile about your Internet routine and display related advertisements. The Eridanus adware may send information like your bookmarks collection, IP address, browser and OS type to advertisers for marketing development purposes. The Eridanus adware is not a severe threat, but it should not be tolerated because it may redirect users to compromised websites and cause data loss indirectly. Security experts advise users to install a trusted anti-malware application to purge the Eridanus adware from their machines.
