Email Anytime

As internet users, we are all aware of the number of applications and software that we are bombarded with on a daily basis. All of them promise that they are unique and so very helpful. However, mildly put, that's not always the case. A huge amount of applications lie about their intents and functionality. The applications that fall in this category vary from useless software that will not harm your system but will not be helpful to you, to unsafe software that could monitor you, blackmail you, collect data and whatnot.

Today we will be talking about a less harmful type of application, namely a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) called Email Anytime. This is a Google Chrome extension, which could be found and installed either via its own Web page (http://emailanytime.co/) or from the official Chrome Web Store. It Email Anytime is being advertised similarly on both platforms. This extension claims to be able to enhance your browsing experience and save you time by making sending emails "faster than ever before." All that Email Anytime does is change your new tab page to Search.searchema.com, a website affiliated with the publisher of Email Anytime. The search engine implemented is Yahoo. In the toolbar, at the top of the new tab page, are located several buttons, which link to popular email services such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and Hotmail. Furthermore, there is another search box in the toolbar, alongside a feature that is meant to show the current local weather and temperature. There are three additional buttons in the toolbar – Facebook, News and Maps. Right above the main search field, there is a clock feature. Under the search field, you can find a few more buttons linking to popular websites – Amazon, YouTube, Macy's and Twitter. Weirdly enough, there are three more buttons, which are identical to the ones in the toolbar – Gmail, Yahoo and Facebook.

Email Anytime does not offer any unique features, and modern Web browsers can give you the same tools without the installation of 3rd-party software. If you have installed Email Anytime and you are not satisfied with the functionality it provides, then we suggest that you take care of its removal either manually or with the assistance of an up-to-date PC security tool.
