'El Equipo Ha Sido Bloqueado' Ransomware
'El Equipo ha Sido Bloqueado por Violar las Leyes de Espana' Ransomware is a variant of Ukash ransomware that displays a misleading pop-up warning message generated and delivered to vulnerable computers in Spain by a ransomlock Trojan. A Trojan completely blocks the affected PC user from accessing the desktop and computer and demands a ransom of 150 Euro to restore access to the PC. The fake pop-up alert of 'El Equipo ha Sido Bloqueado por Violar las Leyes de Espana' (The equipment has been removed for violating the laws of Spain) Ransomware states that the computer has been locked because the PC owner has breached certain laws. The warning message of 'El Equipo ha Sido Bloqueado por Violar las Leyes de Espana' Ransomware claims that the PC user has been using and distributing copyrighted content (videos, music, software), visiting forbidden websites and watching and spreading pornographic files. The frightening pop-up alert of 'El Equipo ha Sido Bloqueado por Violar las Leyes de Espana' Ransomware pretends to come from the Spanish police, and uses the official name and logo in an attempt to fool computer users into believing it is official. The false pop-up warning message of 'El Equipo ha Sido Bloqueado por Violar las Leyes de Espana' Ransomware blames PC users for performing various illegitimate actions and, therefore, asks them to pay a fine to avoid arrest and unlock computers.
