Eenheid Voor de Bestrijding Cybercrime Virus is a variant of a ransomware Trojan commonly known as the Ukash Virus. This particular variant attacks computer systems located in the Netherlands. The Eenheid Voor de Bestrijding Cybercrime Virus carries out an attack that is typical of these kinds of ransomware Trojans, impersonating a law enforcement agency message in order to blackmail an inexperience computer user. In this case, the Eenheid Voor de Bestrijding Cybercrime Virus displays a fake message from the Eenheid Voor de Bestrijding Cybercrime, a legitimate Dutch law enforcement agency that specializes in computer crimes.
