EazyZoom

By GoldSparrow in Potentially Unwanted Programs

EazyZoom is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is responsible for the creation of many ads that flood the browser. As a typical PUP, EazyZoom offers very limited utility to its customers. Information about EazyZoom can be found on the official site of the product - eazyzoom.net. It is described as a helpful tool for the zooming of on-line pictures. However, this is just a trick in order to encourage the download. After the installation, the PUP performs as an adware and tries to lead the user to sponsored pages. This involves the use of many pop-ups, banners and in-text ads, which can be seen all the time. On the "Privacy Policy" page, the developers admit that they track the cookies and collect various browsing-related information such as the detailed history, the conducted searches, the IP address and the types of browser. This information is used to make the displayed ads more attractive, which would increase the traffic. However, some of these ads may bring the user to potentially harmful domains and this is why they should not be clicked. Taking in mind that EazyZoom can result in a malware infection and doesn't offer any really helpful feature, experts encourage its removal with a specialized software.
