DynamicMedia is a PUP (potentially unwanted program) that may enter the PC through a variety of packaged freeware which computer users download from questionable download websites. DynamicMedia may be integrated into the PC as extra software to a free application, or without the computer user's approval. The authors of DynamicMedia may also use the pay-per-install method to disperse and insert it on the computer system. The pay-per-install technique may be used to disperse not only DynamicMedia, but also other PC infections such as unwanted toolbars, plug-ins, add-ons, adware and browser hijackers. Upon installation, DynamicMedia may alter the default browser settings on the PC and display disturbing pop-up advertisements and notifications with the aim to most likely generate advertising revenue for its authors.
