DriverBooster

The DriverBooster software is promoted as a system utility that can help PC users keep their drivers up-to-date. The DriverBooster utility can be found on the official page of Energizer Softech Pvt Ltd at http://www.pcbooster.com. The DriverBooster is said to improve system performance, solve slow PC problems, defragment hard disk drives and remove adware. Computer experts categorize the DriverBooster software as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) because it is known to push disturbing pop-up windows, run long systems scans on system boot up and open browser windows advertising the premium version of DriverBooster aggressively. Also, DriverBooster by Energizer Softech Pvt Ltd has been noticed in free software bundles, and it is not marked as a side offer properly.

The DriverBooster program is configured to appear as a tray icon in the taskbar on Windows boot and load the Web browser with an offer to buy a subscription for the full features in DriverBooster. The developers of DriverBooster have not listed their guidelines on how they determine what adware is, and DriverBooster has not been recognized as a reliable cybersecurity product. The DriverBooster program is known to delete Registry keys and temporary Internet files, which may lead to losing program configurations and slower loading of frequently visited Web pages. We have been tracking the development of DriverBooster alongside other computer security developers that block the installer file for the DriverBooster tool.
