DownloadManagerNow is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may not assist its clients as much as they could expect. This software promises to optimize your downloads by increasing their speed. You should know that the time required to download content from the web depends primarily on the speed of your Internet connection. This fact means that DownloadManagerNow may not allow you to perform these tasks faster than usual. The questionable performance is not the only reason to think twice before allowing the PUP to enter your PC. The unreliable application also may cause a set of modifications to your web clients that you may not appreciate. It may insert a toolbar with buttons that serve as links and lead to sponsored pages.
DownloadManagerNow also may change the homepage with a seemingly legitimate Ask-based search site. It may display manipulated results to increase web traffic towards its partners. This activity may result in two kinds of problems. First, the results may not be accurate, and it may take much more time to locate the site that you need. Second, if the affiliate platforms are unsafe, you may become a targeted for hoaxes, or you may be encouraged to load potentially dangerous software. DownloadManagerNow Toolbar also may create pop-ups, banners and other types of commercial materials that lead directly to its partners, which generates referral commissions for its developers. These marketing elements may be annoying, and cause some minor but irritating performance issues. This PUP may sometimes be found in software bundles, so its presence on the PC may surprise some users. To get rid of DownloadManagerNow Toolbar and stop its ads, you should use a credible anti-malware solution.
