The Donation Reminder browser extension is created and maintained by Easyfundraising.org.uk and can be found in the Chrome Web Store and freeware packages. The Donation Reminder browser extension is advertised as the perfect companion for users that want to save money while shopping online, and donate their saved money to charity. At EasyFundRaising.org.uk users can find out more about the Donation Reminder and which charities they can support via the Donation Reminder extension. Computer experts note that the Donation Reminder extension is considered to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) because it may modify the way Google shows results and how Amazon is displayed. Web surfers that install the Donation Reminder extension may notice banners colored in blue that can take up to 30% of the results page at Google.com.
The banners from EasyFundRaising.org.uk are crafted to promote charities and welcome users to donate money. While at Amazon, users that installed the Donation Reminder extension will be invited to donate money through a toolbar at the top side of the Amazon page, which is colored in yellow and hard to miss. The Donation Reminder extension could be compared to the CWA Donation Slider and needs the users approval to transfer money to the account of a charity of their choice. However, users report problems with the way the Donation Reminder extension process their requests. The Donation Reminder extension may redirect users to the charity's site after completing a donation instead of circling back to the product they were on. The Donation Reminder extension may cause problems for users that shop at Amazon extensively. You can remove Donation Reminder from the Extensions Manager and use a credible anti-spyware instrument to clean residual files.
