DNSChanger!fa, also known as Trojan.Win32.DNSChanger.fa, is a hazardous Trojan which is able to change critical Windows files into malicious Trojan files for the malicious purpose. DNSChanger!fa can make changes to Windows TCP/IP settings (DNS values) and redirect Internet users to unsafe and dangerous websites. DNSChanger!fa enables attackers to obtain remote access to the infected computer to largely capture precious system resources and track your online activities to record and/or steal your confidential data. DNSChanger!fa can disable system firewall and security applications to avoid detection and removal. DNSChanger!fa can download and install other malware infections or rogue software programs on the targeted PC without its victim's permission and knowledge. DNSChanger!fa may include Alureon rootkit features and thus, disguise itself on the corrupted PC system. Trojan.Win32.DNSChanger.fa can also lead to frequent program lock-ups and PC system crashes. Uninstall DNSChanger!fa as early as possible.
