DMUninstaller is a Potentially Unwanted Program that is used to profit from advertising and distribute other PUPs. If DMUninstaller is installed on your computer, PC security researchers strongly advise that you delete DMUninstaller without delay with the help of a proper security product that is fully up-to-date. DMUninstaller may be installed inadvertently because marketers may bundle DMUninstaller with legitimate software. Programs that may be bundled with PUPs like DMUninstaller include download managers and streaming video applications from questionable sources. Once installed, DMUninstaller is used to profiting from pay-per-click or other advertising schemes. It is important to note that DMUninstaller is rarely installed on its own. If DMUninstaller is installed on your Web browser, there's a good chance that other PUPs are also present and possibly cause a variety of problems on the affected PC.
DMUninstaller Displays a Bunch of Irritating Messages
As soon as DMUninstaller is installed, DMUninstaller causes various changes to the affected Web browser. Computer users may observe that their Web browser displays irritating pop-up messages, annoying fake error dialogs and may present some problems. The Web browser's default search engine and homepage may also be changed automatically, often to questionable websites that claim to offer search engine features or other services but are merely designed to deliver advertisements to the affected Web browser. In many cases, after installing DMUninstaller, several other programs may appear unexpectedly on the affected computer. In many cases, there may be difficulties when attempting to remove DMUninstaller and components associated with DMUninstaller.
How to Deal with DMUninstaller and Similar PUPs
It is important to note that PUPs and adware like DMUninstaller are not considered threatening. However, since they may be installed without informing the computer user and may present many suspicious behaviors, PC security researchers may label them as potentially harmful. In general, it is safer to remove programs like DMUninstaller than to allow them to remain on a computer. Although it may be possible to uninstall DMUninstaller using the Windows Control Panel, it is highly recommended by security researchers the utilization of a powerful and updated anti-malware application.
