DiscountMagnet is a questionable adware that may expose you to various annoying commercial materials. This application may attach as an extension to detected Web clients. DiscountMagnet is cross-compatible so that you may notice large quantities of ads in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Just like most of the ad-based plugins, DiscountMagnet introduces itself as a shopping assistant. According to the description of its developers, this adware should give you access to various exclusive deals and discount coupons, which will save money on your purchases. DiscountMagnet is indeed related to various e-commerce platforms, but it may not be of any help to you. The partners of this application may not be established retailers that you know you can trust. On the contrary, many links may lead to sites that you have not even heard.
It may not be safe to buy products from such platforms as some of them may be fraudulent. DiscountMagnet may ruin your online experience because its ads are intrusive. You may encounter the DiscountMagnet commercial materials in the majority of Web pages. The ads may be banners and pop-ups, but you may detect interstitial ads, transitional ads or embedded videos occasionally. You should not be surprised if the adware leads to a noticeable drop in the performance of your browsers. The marketing elements, especially the multimedia ones, are known to consume system resources. As a result, you may experience random errors, glitches, freezes, etc. DiscountMagnet may enter your system bundled with freeware. The greatest risk in terms of security is that some ads may transfer you to potentially unsafe parts of the Web. DiscountMagnet may appear again the next time you go online if you delete it manually, which is the reason the experts suggest special anti-malware software.
