DigitalCleaner is a piece of software that may make you believe that it is a legitimate PC cleaning and optimization tool easily. Don't let yourself be tricked by its misleading name, because we assure you that DigitalCleaner is unable to perform any PC optimization and cleaning operations. In fact, DigitalCleaner isn't a PC optimization software, and it is classified as adware by numerous anti-virus companies. The DigitalCleaner adware may inject a broad range of advertisements in your Web browser, and it also may carry out other unwanted activities that may have a negative impact on your Web browsing experience. Apart from injecting advertisements, DigitalCleaner also may collect the Web browser usage statistics such as frequently used search queries, online shopping habits, and other Web browsing preferences.
The collected data is anonymous, but it may allow the advertisers affiliated to DigitalCleaner to inject targeted ads in your Web browser. DigitalCleaner doesn't have an official Web page that it can be downloaded from, and that's why this program may rely on software bundling for its distribution. Software bundles that contain DigitalCleaner may utilize misleading and confusing instructions whose purpose is to trick users into agreeing to install DigitalCleaner unknowingly. If you see DigitalCleaner installed on your computer, or you come across 'DigitalCleaner Ads' in your Web browser, you should solve the issue immediately by downloading and running a reputable anti-malware scanner.
