The pop-ups are a browser-based tactic that uses a fake website to trick users into subscribing to push notifications. People do not visit pages like intentionally but usually get redirected to them by some Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) installed on their computers. shows a black screen and a message with the text:

Users who do not recognize the tactic and click on the 'Allow' button will start receiving pop-ups from the page regularly.

Pages like are designed to promote unsafe content, like online gaming sites, pages with adult content or PUPs. Therefore, they should be avoided by any means. Also, users who get redirected to similar advertisements websites regularly should check their PCs for malware through a certified anti-virus program. PUPs that cause such redirects sneak unnoticed into devices through a method known as "bundling" – malware authors bundle them within the installers of other programs. Among the many harmful features of PUPs is their ability to track user browsing data and login credentials, so these tools should be removed as soon as possible.
