Uses Social Engineering Tricks

Since not many users will allow just any site to display notifications in their browser, the creators of the page have resorted to social engineering techniques in an attempt to get the consent of the user. Once the person is on the page, the website will attempt to get them to click on an ‘Allow’ button, which is meant to allow them to view the media on the site supposedly. Another trick that the website utilizes is fake captchas. They claim that the users have to prove they are not a robot by clicking the ‘Allow’ button on their screen. Furthermore, the page will require the user to click on an ‘Allow’ button if they want to proceed to the next page, which is meant to host the content the person was after.

If the users end up allowing the page to show them notifications, it is likely that this dodgy page will spam them with unwanted advertisements in the shape of Web browser notifications. The advertisements affiliated with websites like the often promote low-quality products and shady services. If you are being spammed with notifications from the page, it is recommended to go into the settings of your browser and revoke all permissions that this dubious website has.
